AUGUSTA — Justin Rodrigue hit a single, driving in Ben Leet, to give Cony a 2-1 win over Brunswick in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A baseball action Tuesday.

Kolbe Merfield had an RBI single in the fifth inning for Cony’s (4-2) first run. Connor Perry scored on the hit. Merfield also picked up the win.

Charlie Lowell had a double for Brunswick (3-4).

SOFTBALL

 

CONY 17, BRUNSWICK 0, 5 innings: Sydney Cheever belted a grand slam in an 11-run first inning to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in Augusta.

Arika Brochu had a home run and a single for Cony (3-2). Haley Ward, Cassidy Turgeon and Autumn Sudsbury each had two singles. Skyler Watson earned the win in the circle.

Nicole Pelletier had two singles for Brunswick (1-4).

ERSKINE 10, MORSE 5: Avery Bond had three hits, including a double, to lead the Eagles to a KVAC B win in South China.

Amber Grady had two hits, including a double, while Mackenzie Gayer had two singles for Erskine (4-2).

Sarah Gray had a triple for Morse (3-3).

RICHMOND 19, VALLEY 0, 5 innings: Sydney Tilton smacked a triple as well as a grand slam in the Bobcats’ East/West Conference win in Richmond.

Tilton had six RBIs on the afternoon, and picked up the win in the circle for Richmond (4-0).

Kelsie Obi had two singles, while Kalah Patterson had three singles and two RBIs for the Bobcats.

Valley falls to 0-4.

MESSALONSKEE 7, BANGOR 1: Kristy Prelgovisk and Sarah Labbe homered to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A victory in Bangor.

MollyAn Killingbeck added three hits for the Eables (6-1), while Kirsten Pelletier scattered five hits and a walk while striking out 10 to pick up the victory in the circle. Emily Gilmore had two hits, including a double for the Rams (6-1).

MESSALONSKEE 8, CHEVERUS 7, OT: Allyssa Turner scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Eagles a win in Portland.

Nathalie St. Pierre, who had four goals, had an assist on Turner’s game-winner. India Languet added three goals and two assists for Messalonskee (4-0).

Allie Scott had three goals for Cheverus (0-2).

BOYS LACROSSE

 

GARDINER 15, CAMDEN HILLS 7: Josh Caldwell had five goals and two assists to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win in Rockport.

Chase Begin added two goals and three assists for Gardiner (4-1) while Logan Clark, Michael Glazier and Michael Poirier chipped in two goals each. Tristan Hebert added one goal. Spencer King made seven saves.

Christian Damon and Joe Gallagher scored twice each for Camden Hills (2-3). Wes Davie made 11 saves.

MESSALONSKEE 10, MT. ARARAT 6: Connor Smith had four goals and an assist to pacer the Eagles to the win in Oakland. Dylan Jones and Austin Pelletier chipped in with two goals and one assist each for Messalonskee (3-2). Dylan Burton and Alden Balboni had the other goals. Elija Tuell made 10 saves and also got his first assist.

Jake Schoenderb had two goals and an assist for Mt. Ararat (1-4) while Kyle Lussier, Ben Bishop and Jason Magno scored one each. Charlie Gil made 12 saves.

MORSE 13, OAK HILL 11: Kyle Flaherty scored five goals, including the 100th of her career, but it was not enough as the Raiders fell to the Shipbuilders in a KVAC B game in Bath.

Alec Beveridge had four goals and four assists to lead Morse while Myles Day and Perry Chase added three goals each. Jake Rene had two goals and two assists. Ryan Munsey made nine saves.

Connor Elwell and Alex Mace had two goals apiece for Oak Hill. Matty Martin made 12 saves.

LEWISTON 9, CONY 5: Brett Sproul scored two goals but it was enough as the Rams fell in the KVAC A game in Augusta.

Lewiston improves to 6-0 with the win.

Chad Bickford, Joel Bennett and Tyler Sproul each scored a goal for Cony (1-3). Cam Gallant made 21 saves.
