WINSLOW — The Winslow boys lacrosse team jumped ahead of Lawrence early to pick up a 18-3 win in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Thursday.

Jimmy Fowler had four goals and three assists for Winslow (3-1), while Jacob Houghton notched three goals and four assists. Hunter McCaslin had a hat trick and Nick Gurney made seven saves in goal.

Gunner McAllister paced Lawrence (1-2) with two goals and Connor Martin scored once.

GARDINER 17, ERSKINE 2: The Tigers jumped out to a 10-1 lead by halftime and never looked back in a KVAC B win over the Eagle in South China.

Chase Begin led Gardiner (4-1) with five goal and four assists, Josh Caldwell added three goals and five assists and Michael Poirier finished with a hat trick.

Trevor Brown and Tyler Rollins has the two goals for Erskine (1-5).

BASEBALL

RICHMOND 12, RANGELEY 2: Nate Kendrick had three hits and drove in three runs to help the Bobcats take the East/West Conference win in Richmond.

Zach Small had three hits and drove in two runs for Richmond (5-1). Rangeley (0-4) scored both runs in the fifth inning.

FOREST HILLS 13-14, GPC 3-3: Matt Turner and Tanner Daigle each improved to 2-0 on the mound this season as the Tigers swept a doubleheader with Greater Portland Christian.

Carson Veilleux had three hits for Forest Hills (4-1) in the opener, while Forrest Griffin and Brandon Ouellette each had a pair of singles.

GPC fell to 0-5.

SOFTBALL

GARDINER 23, WATERVILLE 0, 5 innings: The Tigers scored at least two runs in each inning to take the KVAC B win in Gardiner.

Lily Chepke tripled for Gardiner, while Kristal Smith doubled. Gardiner is 7-0, Waterville is 1-6.

RICHMOND 10, RANGELEY 1: Meranda Martin struck out 10 and walked just two to help the Bobcats take the East/West Conference win.

Cassidy Harriman hit a pair of triple for Richmond (5-0). Taylor Esty had three singles for Rangeley (1-3).

GREENVILLE 13, VALLEY 12: Charlie Savoy hit a home run, but it wasn’t enough for the Cavaliers, who fell to the Lakers in Bingham.

Elisa Campanelli had two hits and had three RBIs for Valley (0-5).

Sierra Bussell had a walk-off double for Greenville (2-0).

GIRLS LACROSSE

WINSLOW 8, CAMDEN HILLS 6: Cassidy Roderick scored four goals to lead Winslow past Camden Hills in KVAC girls lacrosse action.

Mackenzie Winslow added four goals and two assists for the Black Raiders (2-1), while Sarah Stevens and Sabrina Jandreau pitched in with a goal apiece. Harley Fitch stopped 17 shots in goal for Winslow.

MESSALONSKEE 13, BRUNSWICK 9: Ally Turner led all scorers with five goals as Messalonskee topped Brunswick in a KVAC clash in Oakland.

India Languet and Nathalie St. Pierre accounted for the rest of the Eagles’ scoring with four goals apiece. Sydni Collier and Gabriela Languet split time in net for the Eagles (5-0), making eight and three saves, respectively. Anna McMillan and Angelica Boyle scored three goals each for Brunswick (2-3).
