NEWPORT — Six different players had at least two hits as the Nokomis softball team rolled past Belfast 14-3 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Tuesday afternoon .

Shannon Kasprak singled three times, while Sydney Hanson, Mikayla Charters, Libby Dunivan, Audrey Temple, and Sabrina Champluvier each had two hits. The Warriors had 17 hits overall and scored in six different innings. Dunivan earned the win with 10 strikeouts.

For Belfast (1-7), Vanessa Grotton, Ayla Skidgel and Anna Simmons each had two hits.

BANGOR 12, MT. BLUE 0: The Rams scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back en route to the KVAC A game.

Skylar Cassum hit a two-run home run and Emily Gilmore also connected for a solo shot to lead Bangor (8-1). Cassum also struck out 11 and allowed just one hit to earn the victory.

Addie Brinkman had the lone hit for the Cougars (3-5), a single in the first inning.

GIRLS LACROSSE

GARDINER 18, LINCOLN 7: Kelsi Thibeau scored five goals and Evie Hinkley added three to lead the Tigers in Gardiner.

Nickyia Lovely, Maddy Beaulieu, Bryce Smith and Hailee Lovely each scored two goals for Gardiner (2-3) as well.

Lincoln dropped to 1-4.

EDWARD LITTLE 7, CONY 5: Fran Haines and Morgan Knowlton each scored two goals to power the Red Eddies in Auburn. Mariah Vallaincourt had 14 saves for EL (1-4). Becca Coniff and Sarah Caron each scored two goals to pace Cony (0-5). Molly Silsby also scored.
