In observance of the Week of the Young Child, April 13-17, the George J. Mitchell Childcare in Waterville planned a weeklong literacy event. Ellie Irish from Colby’s Rising Readers Program and a few of her peers read to the children, while child care staff provided fun activities from within the books being read. The children also received a free book thanks to Maine Roads To Quality who assisted with funding the program. George J.
