WINTHROP — A graduation ceremony for the Winthrop/Monmouth Adult & Community Education class of 2015 will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 8, at the Bailey Public Library, 39 Bowdoin St.
New members will be inducted into the National Adult Education Honor Society and students who have completed the College Transitions Program will be recognized, according to a news release from the adult education office.
Julia Sleeper, executive director of Tree Street Youth, will be the keynote speaker. The mission of Tree Street Youth Center is to support the youth of Lewiston-Auburn through academics, the arts and athletics while providing a safe space that encourages healthy physical, social, emotional and academic development while building unity across lines of difference, according to the release.
