Veterans Benefits Officer Conrad Edwards, with Mary Nicholas, an aging and disability resource counselor, will share new information on how the Affordable Care Act and Medicare benefits work together. The discussion is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Muskie Community Center in Waterville.

The Veterans Administration encourages veterans to enroll into Medicare Part B (medical coverage) when they turn 65. This provides better coverage when needed, according to a news release from Spectrum Generations.

Money Savings Benefit Programs that can help pay for some of those costs also will be discussed.

Those who require any special accommodations should call Nick Cloutier, community engagement specialist, at 620-1655 by Friday, May 26.
