Classic rockers J. Geils Band and country star Kacey Musgraves are the latest acts scheduled to play Portland’s Maine State Pier this summer.
Musgraves will play July 16 while J. Geils Band, including lead singer Peter Wolf, will perform Sept. 3.
The two shows, announced Friday morning, bring the total of shows still to be held on the pier this summer to 24.
Two concerts, by ’80s rocker Pat Benatar and country star Lee Brice, have already been held on the pier this month. Management of Waterfront Concerts, the Bangor-based company organizing the pier shows, has said the pier may host as many 30 shows this summer.
Tickets for Musgraves’ show are $19.75 to $45.75 and go on sale May 29. Tickets for J. Geils Band are $32.75 to $85.75 and also go on sale May 29.
