Plans for Winthrop’s 28th Sidewalk Art Festival are under way and the Winthrop Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications from artists and crafters who would like to take part in the event.
The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in downtown Winthrop.
The chamber plans to add several new artists, increase community involvement and offer a variety of entertainment and refreshments. For an application to participate, visit www.winthropchamber.org, call 377-8020 or email info@winthropchamber.org.
The early registration discount for applications received before June 15 is $50; after June 15, the fee is $60. The final deadline for registration is Aug. 1.
The chamber also seeks businesses, nonprofit groups or volunteers who would like to sponsor the festival or get involved in planning or assisting with the event.
