OAKLAND — Kristy Prelgovisk belted two home runs — including a grand slam — to lead the Messalonskee softball team past Lawrence 12-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Tuesday that was shortened to six innings because of the 10-run rule.

Kirsten Pelletier did not allow a hit, struck out 10 and walked just one to pick up the win for Messalonskee (12-2). Hannah Duperry had four hits while MollyAn Killingbeck and Dakota Bragg chipped in with two hits each.

Lawrence fell to 4-9.

ERSKINE 10, MOUNT VIEW 4: Mallory Chamberlain pitched a four-hitter and the Eagles took advantage of five errors to earn the KVAC B win in South China. Erskine improved to 8-5.

Ryleigh Lord had two singles for the Mustangs (4-9).

EDWARD LITTLE 2, MT. BLUE 0: Sarah Hammond tossed a complete-game three-hitter with 10 strikeouts to pace the Red Eddies in Farmington.

Molly Murray had three hits to lead Edward Little (10-4), which was the beneficiary of a pair of unearned runs.

Caitlin Kane was saddled with the loss despite giving up just five hits in five innings of work for Mt. Blue (5-9).

WINSLOW 13, SPRUCE MTN. 4: The Black Raiders scored seven runs in the top of the seventh to pull away from the Phoenix in Jay.

Hillary Libby allowed just two hits and struck out 14 to get the piching win for Winslow (11-2), while at the plate added a single, double and two RBIs. Jenna Petrovic had three hits — including a double — and three runs scored, while Hayley Pottle added two singles and two RBIs.

Kaylee Leclerc had a double and an RBI for Spruce Mountain (4-9).

GREENVILLE 19, FOREST HILLS 4, 6 innings: The Lakers pounded out 24 hits to pick up a win over the Tigers in Jackman.

Lily Pelletier picked up the pitching win for Greenville (8-5). Forest Hills fell to 5-8 with the loss.

BASEBALL

ERSKINE 7, MOUNT VIEW 1: Zack Glidden went six innings, allowing one run and three hits while striking out four in the Eagles’ victory over the Mustangs in South China.

Ryan Rodrigue paced Erskine (9-4) with two singles and three RBIs, Caleb Cummings had two hits as well and Nate Howard drove in two with a single.

Nathan Wren had two hits, including a double, for Mount View (4-9).

EDWARD LITTLE 12, MT. BLUE 5: The Cougars jumped out to a 4-0 lead early but could not hold on in a KVAC game in Farmington.

Drew Lashua and Brandon Knapp each had a pair of hits to pace Edward Little (11-3). Ty Nichols had a double for Mt. Blue (7-7).

MESSALONSKEE 12, LAWRENCE 2, 5 innings: The Eagles exploded for seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to break open a close game with the Bulldogs in Oakland.

Messalonskee (12-2) — which swiped nine bases in the contest — was paced by Nick Mayo, who picked up the win and also had two hits. Trevor Gettig, Zach Mathieu and Kyle Lafreniere also had two hits in the win.

Derek Bowen had two hits, including a double, for Lawrence (3-11).

GARDINER 5, MCI 1: Nic Berube had an RBI double and struck out four of the five hitters he faced after taking over in the sixth inning for winning pitcher Brady Smith in a KVAC victory over the Huskies in Pittsfield.

Eli Fish and Logan Peacock each went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for Gardiner (10-3).

Austin Tolman went the distance for MCI (3-10), struck out eight and walked none, while Greg Vigue had both of the Huskies’ two hits.

MADISON 8, CARRABEC 3: Cody Soucier went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs as the Bulldogs picked up an MVC win over the Cobras in Madison.

Ryan Emery earned the victory for Madison (7-7), allowing one earned run on four hits while walking two and striking out five.

Dustin Crawford had a pair of hits for Carrabec (6-8).

WINSLOW 10, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Dylan Hapworth and Bobby Chenard each homered for the Black Raiders, who took the KVAC B win.

Hapworth drove in four runs, while Chenard drove in three. Both had four hits. Jonathan Nerney doubled for Winslow (9-4).

Spruce Mountain is now 2-11.

WINTHROP 8, MOUNT ABRAM 1: Jacob Hickey tossed a complete-game, four-hitter as the Ramblers rolled past the Roadrunners in Salem Township.

Dakota Carter had a double, triple and two RBIs for Winthrop (11-2), while Ben Allen and Ben Caprara chipped in with two hits apiece.

Mount Abram fell to 3-11 with the loss.

RANGELEY 9, VALLEY 5: Tim White smacked a pair of doubles in the Lakers’ win over the Cavaliers in Bingham.

Bo Beaulieu chipped in with a pair of singles for Rangeley (2-7) while Ben Forsman had a double.

Justin Miller finished with two hits for Valley (6-5).
