The Kennebec Valley Garden Club’s annual meeting is set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at the Augusta Country Club in Manchester. The agenda includes a board meeting, an 11:30 a.m. social, lunch at noon followed by the installation of the 2015-17 KVGC officers, with Kathleen Marty, president of the Garden Club Federation of Maine, in attendance as a KVGC guest, according to a news release from the club.
A special celebration for club member Hope Weston, who is turning 100 years young, is also planned. Weston is the oldest member of the Garden Club Federation of Maine and the second oldest member in the National Garden Clubs, according to the release.
