MOUNT VERNON — Home is Where the Heart is, an informal discussion about long-term affordable housing for all generations in rural communities, will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library.
Sandy Wright, Rebecca Dorr and Greg Plimpton will talk about issues encountered regarding access to housing in the area, and any pieces or solutions others might be trying, according to a news release from the library.
Wright and the Mount Vernon Community Partnership Corp have looked at senior housing issues for several years. Wright also has investigated senior housing and works with clients of all ages on housing issues, in her work as a MaineGeneral counselor. Plimpton builds small accessory housing in southern Maine.
