FARMINGDALE — Brian Allen threw his first career no-hitter to lift the Hall-Dale baseball team to a 2-0 Mountain Valley Conference win over Carrabec 2-0 Wednesday.

Allen struck out eight and walked three for the no-hitter, and also had two hits to help his cause. Sam Moulton had two hits, including a double, for Hall-Dale (10-5), while Quinn Stebbins hit three singles for the Bulldogs.

Carrabec ends the regular season at 7-9.

MONMOUTH 3, TELSTAR 0: Hunter Richardson tossed a complete-game three-hit shutout as the Mustangs closed their regular season with a win in Monmouth.

Richardson struck out seven and walked only one to pick up the victory. Chandler Harris led the Mustangs (9-7) offensively with two hits, including a double, and scored a run. Tanner Wheeler pitched well for Telstar (3-13).

WINTHROP 4, MADISON 1: Ben Caprara had two singles with an RBI to lead the Ramblers to the MVC win at home.

Bennett Brooks also had two singles for Winthrop (14-2). Matt Sekerak earned the win on the mound, allowing one run on four hits while striking out three and walking none.

Tristan Emery had two singles for Madison (8-8).

SOFTBALL

BREWER 4, MESSALONSKEE 1: The Eagles pounded out 10 hits but still suffered a loss to the Witches in Brewer.

Delaney Davis struck out six, was the winning pitcher for Brewer (9-7) and also had a pair of doubles and a single at the plate.

Cassidy Baker had three singles for Messalonskee (13-3), MollyAn Killingbeck notched a pair of singles and Kirsten Pelletier struck out eight.

TELSTAR 9, MONMOUTH 1: The Rebels plated five runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Mustangs in Monmouth.

Sadie Ellsworth and Becca Howard each had a pair of singles for Telstar (14-2).

Tia Day and Caleigh Copeland each doubled for Monmouth (9-7), while Caroline Bonenfant had a pair of singles.

GIRLS LACROSSE

GARDINER 17, CAMDEN HILLS 7: Evelyn Hinkley, Hailee Lovely and Nickyia Lovely each scored three goals to lead the Tigers to a win over the Windjammers in Gardiner.

Bryce Smith and Maddie Beaulieu each added two goals for Gardiner (6-6).

Hannah Winklhofer had three goals for Camden Hills (5-7).

EASTERN B BOYS

FOXCROFT 4, ERSKINE 1: Kyle Zembroski was the only Eagle to win a match when he defeated Ko Zhong 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles of a preliminary-round loss in Dover-Foxcroft.

Erskine’s Vince Wang won the first set at third singles before falling to Guillermo Sanchez 2-6, 6-1, 6-3. At first singles, Foxcroft’s Fernando Caceres defeated Cam Grass 6-0, 6-1.

Erskine’s No. 1 doubles team of Jon Ballantyne and Brady Grotton lost to Bram Dennis and Woo Jun-Kim 6-2, 6-2. At second singles, Erskine’s Sam Wilkinson and Kenny Nikornpan dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Kazu Kawashima and Matthew Baimante. Foxcroft improves to 10-3 while Erskine finishes at 7-6.

WESTERN C GIRLS

LAKE REGION 4, OAK HILL 1: Cassidy Tibbetts picked up Oak Hill’s only win with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Sam Bolling at third singles. Lake Region’s Sarah Carlson defeated Siera Tibbetts 6-1, 6-3 at first singles and Nikola Gomolova topped Emma Weissenfels 6-3, 6-4 at second singles.

In doubles action, Oak Hill’s Kierra Rolston and Zoe Hill dropped their match to Megan VanLoan and Spencer True 6-1, 6-1, while Lake Region’s Liza Wildey and Whitney Harriman beat Sierra Hill and Sam Weeks 6-1, 6-1.

WESTERN C BOYS

HALL-DALE 5, WISCASSET 0: Andrew Peterson won a tough 7-6, 6-3 match over Tom Anderson at first singles to pace the Bulldogs. At second singles, Hall-Dale’s Bryson Camp topped Ridge Barnes 6-1, 6-2 and at third singles Jacob Young held off Ethan James 6-4, 6-2.

In doubles, Malcolm Avore and Thomas Plourde pulled away from Kevin Lynch and Aidan Carlson for the win. At second doubles, Alex Guiou and Nat Crocker topped Sam Strozier and Trinin Jeffrey 6-1, 6-0.
