The company that holds the management contract for the Cross Insurance Arena is changing its name.
Comcast Spectra merged three divisions – Global Spectrum, Ovations Food Services and Paciolan – into one operation, named Spectra. The change was completed Tuesday.
Global Spectrum was selected in February to provide venue management services for five years for the Portland arena. It also provides management services at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Services include consulting and pre-opening, marketing and sales, corporate partnerships, concert and event booking, ticket services and box office management, customer service, operations and engineering, finance and administration, and management of ancillary services.
The merger is expected to optimize full-service operations for clients, customers and fans, according to a release from the company.
