FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Police in Framingham say two people have died and a third is injured after a car went into a small pond and overturned.
Lt. Stephen Cronin said a man and a woman were found dead in the front seat Sunday morning, and a woman found injured in the back seat was taken to a Boston hospital by helicopter.
Emergency responders found the car around 7 a.m. in a pond off Gates Street near the Framingham Country Club. It is not clear how long the car had been in the water.
Police are still investigating, but say it appears the car missed the turn onto Gates Street as it left Route 9 East.
