Giddy-Up & Go, 4-H Horse Club, based in Franklin County, will present an Open Schooling Horse Show at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Mounted Methodist’s arena at Trinity Methodist Church, 612 Farmington Falls Road. Registration will open at 8 a.m., according to a news release from the club.

This is an open show, not a 4-H sanctioned show. Fees are $5 per class or $3 for all day. Riders can pre-register for a discounted fee of $25. Preregistrations must include registration fee and proof of immunizations, according to the release.

Class divisions are Lead Line, Walk/Trot and Walk/Trot/Canter. Each division is open to all ages. Classes include showmanship, English and Western equitation and pleasure and trail. Some game classes and a costume class are included as well. Lead line classes can be ridden in either seat. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 4th place.

Elaine Graf will judge the show. Graf grew up riding, schooling and showing hunters in southern Connecticut. She has been teaching riding for more than 30 years at her farm in Fayette, and has previously judged numerous small shows, according to the release.

The show will be held rain or shine. If canceled, this show will not be rescheduled and registration fees will be returned.
