AUGUSTA — The Children’s Discovery Museum will hold its annual Kids’ Summer Kickoff from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Augusta Armory, 179 Western Ave. Admission cost $7 per person or $25 per family and includes dinner. All proceeds to benefit The Children’s Discovery Museum, according to a news release from the museum.

“After such a long winter, we can’t wait to celebrate the start of summer. Now more than ever, people are relying on our museum for a fun, educational cost effective experience. The funds we raise at this event will help us provide high quality programming and exhibits at minimal cost to the families and organizations in our community. The event is jam-packed with fun activities like bouncy houses, a magic show, robot demonstrations, yummy food and a raffle filled with summer fun goodies,” said interim Director Amarinda Keys in the release.

The museum is at 171 Capitol St. and offers a wide array of activities for youngsters to explore, while enhancing many of their developmental skills, such as social, cognitive, problem solving and peer interaction.
