Ye Female Society for the Support of the Gospel, one of the oldest continuously meeting women’s group in the United States, will convene at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the hall of Winslow Congregational Church, where they were formed and have been meeting annually since 1819, according to a news release from the church.

This group is open to all women of all ages and all faiths and creeds are welcome.

After a prayer and song, the group’s history will be recounted and dues of 25 cents each will be collected from members, many of whom have been in the organization since birth. The program this year will be musical selections by member Deb Clark and her granddaughters, on violin and piano. Refreshments will be served.

The church is on Lithgow Street in Winslow. For more information, call 314-4730.
