CANAAN — A teenage girl suffered non-life threatening injuries in a roll-over accident on Battleridge Road Sunday afternoon, police said.
Destiny Edgerly, of Concord, was driving south around 4 p.m. when she lost control of her car, a 2001 Ford Focus, and rolled-over, said Cpl. Eugene Cole of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office. The crash caused a telephone pole to snap.
Edgerly told police that a black SUV driving north was in her lane and caused her to lose control, Cole said. He said police are investigating the accident and that information has not yet been substantiated.
Edgerly was taken to Redington-Fairview General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle was totaled.
The accident will be investigated by Deputy Toby Blodgett of the sheriff’s office, Cole said.
