July 19, a 27-year-old Presque Isle woman was charged with failure to maintain control of a vehicle on Route 32.

Thursday, a 1982 GMC Sierra being driven north on Route 17 by a 68-year-old Liberty man went through the Route 32 intersection and crashed into a utility pole. The driver said the truck’s brakes malfunctioned, causing it to go through the stop sign.

A 2003 Subaru Legacy being driven south on Hinks Road by a 23-year-old Jefferson man went out of control on wet pavement. The Subaru crossed the center line and went into the ditch.

Monday at 8:41 a.m., there was a report of a violation of a protection-from-abuse order at an unspecified location.

Monday at 8:19 p.m., Brandee A. Lewis, 19, of Augusta, was arrested on charges of theft and violating conditions of release by police responding to a shoplifting complaint on Water Street.

WHITEFIELD

July 28, Crystal B. Humiston, 47, of Litchfield, New Hampshire, was arrested on warrants charging her with theft and illegally carrying a concealed weapon on Pittston Road in Whitefield.

Saturday, Timothy M. Barbeau, 40, of Whitefield, was arrested on charges of violating conditions of release, domestic violence reckless conduct and criminal mischief by police responding to a complaint on Devin Road.
