FARMINGTON — Franklin County Children’s Task Force will offer a summer round of BLAST! for Babysitters, a babysitter lesson and safety training class set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at 113 Church St.

The interactive program provides training in babysitter basics such as feeding, burping and diapering, as well as first aid for emergency response, including CPR. Participants will become CPR/AED certified by the American Heart Association. Attendees will leave with a certificate of completion, a book to use as a quick reference guide while babysitting, and tools to help them organize their efforts.

Training is open to Franklin County residents age 13 and older, and the cost is $55; limited scholarships are available. To register, call 778-6960, or email [email protected] no later than Wednesday, Aug. 12.
