Business Insider Breakfast, hosted by Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, is planned for Wednesday, Aug. 19. The meeting will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Senator Inn & Spa, 284 Western Ave., Augusta.
Speakers will include Steve Pecukonis, executive director of the Augusta Downtown Alliance and facilitator of the Chamber’s Kennebec Leadership Institute, and Patrick Wright, executive director of Gardiner Main Street and economic development coordinator of the city of Gardiner, according to a news release from the chamber.
Those who attend can learn about the past, present and future of these downtowns and why it’s important to support the historical and cultural aspects of the downtown as a means to making a more vibrant community overall.
The cost is $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers; $5 late registration fee after Friday, Aug. 14.
