AUGUSTA — Maine officials say the money generated from the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, ATV registrations and the moose hunt lottery has increased by more than $700,000 over last year.
State officials say revenue from a combined hunting-fishing license is up by 6 percent from last year. ATV riding revenue is also up 6 percent. Fishing license revenue is up by 7 percent.
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife says the department generated more than $22 million from the sale of licenses, registrations and permits. The fiscal year ended June 30.
