MANCHESTER — Designing Women, a nonprofit volunteer corporation that celebrates female artisans and works to support other local, nonprofit organizations that help women and families, will hold its ninth annual juried fine art and craft show from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Longfellow’s Greenhouses, 81 Puddleduck Road, Manchester.

Designing Women invites people to celebrate the close of summer at Longfellow’s Greenhouses with more than 20 of Maine’s most talented lady artisans, featuring handmade and beautifully crafted pottery, exquisite weaving, stained glass, jewelry, clothing, home decorations and accents, handmade soaps and body care, and much more, according to a news release from Mary Kay Spencer. Returning again this year will be an “Emerging Female Artisan” tent, which will showcase some of Maine’s newest talent. Enjoy live music performed by Twisted Strings and peruse Longfellow’s end of the season sales. The suggested $2 door donation and all lunch/refreshment proceeds will be donated directly to the Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Center.
