Waterville area farmers will get a chance to weigh in on the implementation of the 2014 farm bill Friday, when U.S. Department of Agricutlure Farm Service Administrator Val Dolcini visits Albion.

Dolcini will discuss topics such as commodity, conservation, disaster assistance and credit safety-net programs offered by FSA, according to a USDA news release.

Don Todd, state executive director of the Maine Farm Service Agency also will be at the meeting, from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at Misty Brook Farm, 156 Bog Road in Albion.

Dolcini and Todd plan to tour the farm, which was hit by a microburst on July 28 and sustained damage the news release described as “tremendous.”
