RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will present “Nunsense,” a musical comedy, at 7 p.m Aug. 28-30, at Lakeside Theater, Main Street. This presentation is an encore of the May, 2015 production, according to a RFA news release.

The story: Five of the surviving Little Sisters of Hoboken, a missionary order that ran a leper colony, discover their cook accidentally killed the other 52 sisters with her tainted vichyssoise. Upon discovering the disaster, Mother Superior realized there was not enough money to pay for the last four burials. With the deceased nuns on ice in the deep freeze, they stage a variety show in the School auditorium to raise the necessary amount. The entertainment that they present includes solo star numbers, madcap dance routines, and outrageous ‘nun’ humor. “Nunsense,” by Dan Goggin, is locally directed by Valerie Zapolsky and produced by Millie Hoekstra.

Reserved seating tickets cost $15 and are available at the Chamber of Commerce in Rangeley, by calling 864-5571, or stop by the office at 6 Park Road.
