The Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, will present a program about healthy aging as part of the association’s Healthy Habits for a Healthier You series from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Spectrum Generations Muskie Center, 38 Gold St., Waterville.

According to the release from the association, for centuries it is known that the health of the brain and body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to optimize a person’s physical and cognitive health while aging. Those who attend can learn research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement and use hands-on tools to help incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging. This program is free.
