A memorial potluck and garden for Deb Noonan is set for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Canaan Farmers Hall.
One of Noonan’s wishes was to have a potluck dinner at the hall when she got out of the hospital, where friends and family would come together and celebrate. She also wanted to have a bonfire to burn the cast that had her bound for months, according to a news release from organizers.
Noonan also wanted to plant perennial gardens around the farmers hall to commemorate all loved ones who have passed away.
People are asked to bring a dish to share; drinks will be supplied.
Those who have perennials to add to a memorial garden, bring them to the potluck and leave them on the side or front of the building. It is hoped to plant them Sunday, Sept. 20.
