CAMDEN — Lorraine Taft, forest pest outreach coordinator for the Maine Department of Agriculture, will give a talk “Invasive Bugs in Maine, Impact on Birds and People,”at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Camden Public Library, 55 Main St. The event is sponsored by Mid-Coast Audubon, according to a news release from the library.
Those who attend can learn about different invasive bugs and Maine and what to do to help.
Mid-Coast Audubon is an all-volunteer group whose mission is to promote long term responsible use of natural resources through an informed membership, education and community awareness. The society offers free monthly birding trips and educational programs as well as maintaining four public preserves.
