JEFFERSON — Jefferson schools will be the topic of the Tuesday, Sept. 22, meeting of the Jefferson Historical Society at the old Jefferson Townhouse, 7 Gardiner Road.

Through the years, Jefferson had 17 school districts to serve many of the town’s neighborhoods until consolidation in the 20th century. Many photos of students, teachers, and schools will be shared at the meeting, including school albums up through the present, according to a news release from the society. Attendees are invited to bring their own photos and stories to share.

The program will begin after a brief business meeting at 7 p.m.

The 2016 JHS historic photos calendars will be available as well.
