HINCKLEY — Kennebec Valley Community College will hold the first in an inaugural series of benefit concerts, “Jazz at Moody Chapel,” Thursday, Sept. 24, at its Harold Alfond Campus.

The concert will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Moody Chapel on Stanley Road, next to U.S. Route 201, according to a news release from the college.

The Maine jazz musicians lined up for the evening include Ginny Palmer, vocals; Tony Gasboury, guitar; Bill Mosely, flute; Shaun Bolduc, bass; and Zack Pomerleau, drums.

Music will be modern jazz in combo format, concentrating on jazz standards of 1950s to the present. Some of the music will feature an interpretive dancer from the Kennebec Dance Center.

This is the inaugural concert for the Fall 2015 Music at Moody concert series. Music at Moody is a program sponsored by the KVCC Foundation in support of the expressive arts. Fifteen percent of proceeds benefit the Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers in Waterville.

Ticket prices for adults are $10 in advance, $12 at the door; teens 13-17, $5 in advance, $6 at the door; and for children 12 and younger, free.
