AUGUSTA — Penny Partridge, co-founder of the Adoption Forum 40 years ago, will present a one woman show at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church.

Partridge has been a leader in the adoption field for decades, and also is a published poet and performance artist, according to a news release from the church. She has published several books of poetry about adoption and is a favorite speaker at adoption conferences. She has performed her one woman show internationally as well throughout this country.

“Pandora out of the Box,” the title of her presentation, will reflect conversations about poetry, adoption, the search for origins, and growing old (gracefully and not so much). Interaction with the audience is part of her presentation.

There will be a suggested donation to the church of $10 for this performance, and Partridge’s book, “The People they Brought me,” also will be available for a small donation. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church is at 69 Winthrop St. A reception to meet the artist will follow the show.
