THORNDIKE — Anna Smestad and Brittney Bubar scored five minutes apart late in the second half to lift the Nokomis girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Mount View on Thursday.

Austin Talor had an assist and Shayla Kelley had 10 saves for Nokomis. Jenni Nadeau had 10 saves for Mount View as well.

WATERVILLE 6, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Sophie Webb and Fotini Shanos each had hat tricks to pace the Purple Panthers in Waldoboro.

Anika Elias and Mackenzie St. Pierre each had assists for Waterville (4-0-1), while Gabi Martin finished with six saves.

Medomak Valley fell to 1-4.

OCEANSIDE 1, ERSKINE 0: The Mariners were credited with an own goal given to Casey Pine 34 minutes into the game to earn the KVAC B victory in South China. Kalyn Grover made nine saves for Oceanside (5-0-0).

Cassandra Ray stopped 16 shots for the Eagles (3-1-1).

BANGOR 4, LAWRENCE 0: The Rams used a trio of second-half goals to race past the Bulldogs in Fairfield.

Luci Clien, Megan Conner, Grace Morris and Emma Barnett each scored for Bangor (6-0).

Kayla Spencer made six saves for Lawrence (1-5).

MT. ARARAT 6, SKOWHEGAN 1: The Eagles scored three times in the final 15 minutes of the first half in Skowhegan.

Chloe Beattie had a hat trick and Erin Tone scored twice to pace Mt. Ararat (3-1-1).

Tatum Parker made 13 saves for Skowhegan (0-5) in the loss.

GREENVILLE 7, VALLEY 0: Dalanie Boone, Jessica Pomerleau, Charlotte Aucoin and Shelby Ward each scored goals for the Lakers win over the Cavaliers in Bingham.

Kendra Sweet finished with 11 saves for Valley (0-4). Greenville improved to 2-2.

FIELD HOCKEY

SKOWHEGAN 9, BRUNSWICK 0: The Indians built a 7-0 lead by halftime and never looked back in Brunswick.

Lauren LeBlanc led the way with three goals and two assists for Skowhegan (6-1-0), while Maliea Kelso and Brooke Michonski each finished with two goals and two assists. Cassidy Clement and Julia Steeves also scored in the win.

Brunswick fell to 1-4-1.

NOKOMIS 1, WATERVILLE 0: Rosalie Bowman scored an unassisted goal with 7 minutes, 48 seconds left in the first half to lift the visiting Warriors to the KVAC B win.

Chelsea Crockett made five saves for Nokomis (2-4) while Coby Dangler stopped nine shots for Waterville (0-5).

MT. BLUE 6, BREWER 0: The Cougars outshot the Witched 40-3 and held a 15-1 advantage on penalty corners en route to a win in Farmington.

Hannah LeClair and Abby Wallace each had a pair of goals for Mt. Blue (3-3-1), while Emilee Eustis and Hannah Minns each scored once.

Michelle Maybury stopped 12 shots in goal for Brewer (2-4).

LAWRENCE 15, LINCOLN 0: The Bulldogs had eight different players score goals on their way to a rout of the Eagles in Fairfield.

Domi Lewis led the way for Lawrence (5-1) with four goals, Nora Buck had a hat trick and McKenna Rogers and Lilla Tilton-Flood each scored twice.

Lincoln fell to 0-6.

BELFAST 1, MOUNT VIEW 0: Kylie Nelson scored with 15:48 left in the first half and the Lions made it stand in a KVAC B victory in Belfast.

Alexis Bowman had six saves for the Mustangs (3-3-0), which held a 7-4 edge in corners. Belfast improved to 5-1-0.

BOYS SOCCER

WATERVILLE 7, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: The Purple Panthers netted five second-half goal to break a 2-2 tie in Waterville.

Michael Oliveira scored four goals to pace Waterville (3-1-1). Justin Wentworth had a goal and two assists while Bridger Holly scored twice.

Alvaro Valls had both goals for Medomak (3-2-0).

MCI 4, LEAVITT 3: Caleb Romanov scored the eventual game-winner with 14 minutes remaining as the Huskies held off the Hornets in Pittsfield.

Romanov and Jason Hoon each finished with a pair of goals for MCI (3-2), while Lazar Roasaj and Carter Richmond each chipped in with assists.

Noah Lind, Joe Baumann and Brian Hewitt each had goals for Leavitt (2-2-2).
