WATERVILLE — The Colby men’s soccer team has had little success against New England Small College Athletic Conference rival Williams in recent years.

The Mules entered the showdown Saturday having not beaten the Ephs in 15 years.

That all changed Saturday.

Senior captain Tim Stanton scored with 31 seconds left in double overtime to give Colby a dramatic 2-1 victory over Williams.

Since 2000, the Mules had never scored a goal in eight home games against Williams.

Jeff Rosenberg snapped that streak when he scored with 12 minutes, 20 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 1-all.
