READFIELD — Senior midfielder Zack Godbout scored two goals in the second half to snap a tie game and help the Maranacook boys soccer team earn a 3-1 victory over Erskine on Tuesday night.

Chris Beckwith scored the other goal for the Black Bears (6-0-0).

“We’re playing good soccer right now,” Maranacook coach Don Beckwith said. “We’re going all right. We just have to continue to go after it.”

The teams were deadlocked at 1-all at the half before Maranacook rallied.

“Huge win,” Don Beckwith added. “This is a lot of (Heal) points.”

Erskine dropped to 4-3-0.

HALL-DALE 1, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Josh Berberich scored an unassisted goal with 31 minutes left in the game to lift the Bulldogs in Farmingdale.

Andy Peterson made six saves on 10 shots for Hall-Dale (3-0-2).

Jacob Beauchesne stopped 15 shots for the Falcons (5-2-0).

GARDINER 6, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Dylan Haskell and Larsson Lunt each scored twice to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Casey Bourque and Ben Babcock had the other goals for Gardiner (3-2-1). Noah Keene and Bourque each had an assist and Kenneth Moore and Connor McGuire combined to make two saves.

Brady Walp scored on a penalty kick for the Phoenix (0-7-0). Nate Goodine stopped six shots.

BUCKFIELD 2, RICHMOND 1: Brendan Emmons scored the lone goal for the Bobcats in a loss to the Bucks in Buckfield.

Matt Rines had an assis on the goal for Richmond (3-1-1).

Sydney Jackson scored both goals for Buckfield (5-1-0).

GIRLS SOCCER

ERSKINE 3, MARANACOOK 2: Kaylee Porter scored on a penalty kick in the second half and that proved to be the difference in a KVAC B win in South China.

Mallory Chamberlain and Emma McCormac also scored for Erskine (4-2-1) while Abby Haskell added an assist. Cassandra Ray stopped 10 shots.

Lauren Clough and Jana Elwell scored for Maranacook (1-4-1). Sierra Wilson made seven saves.

 

RICHMOND 5, BUCKFIELD 1: Meranda Martin and Kelsea Anair each scored twice to lift the Bobcats to the East/West Conference win in Buckfield.

Caitlin Kendrick also scored for Richmond (5-1-0). Camryn Hurley and Martin added an assist each. Sydney Tilton made four saves.

Brianna Damon scored for Buckfield (5-1-0).

GARDINER 1, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Lauren Chadwick scored off an assist from Maddy Noyes to give the host Tigers the KVAC B win.

Tabby Hembree made 11 saves for Gardiner (3-2-1). Calley Baker stopped 19 shots for the Phoenix (0-6-0).

FIELD HOCKEY

 

CONY 4, HAMPDEN 2: Four different players scored as the Rams earned the KVAC A win in Hampden.

Haley Ward, Lindsay Watts, Cari Hopkins and Molly Silsby each scored a goal for Cony (5-3). Kami Lambert added two assists and Jacki Carlton made six saves.

Danielle Sanders and Claire Scobie each had a goal for Hampden (3-4). Ruby Ramsay made eight saves.
