WATERVILLE — Members of Kennebec Valley Baptist Church are going to Uganda on a missions trip in October and are collecting used eyeglasses to be fitted to indigent residents who need eyecare but are unable to afford nor access them, according to a news release a from the church. Eye doctors there will determine the prescriptions and match them with patients.

Used eyeglasses can be dropped off at the church office, 91 Marston Road between 9 a.m. and noon Monday, Wednesday and Thursday or at the sanctuary between 6 and 9 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. and noon and 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays. Glasses will be accepted until Oct. 21.
