JEFFERSON — Women in the Bible, in all their variety, will be the subject of after-Sunday-services classes Sept. 27 and Oct. 4 at St. Giles Episcopal Church.

Leading the classes will be Don Kraus, a St. Giles parishioner and the head of Bible publishing at Oxford University Press for more than 30 years, according to a news release from the church. He will cover such topics as “The Good Wife (Never mind about the husband)” from Proverbs, “Mad, bad and dangerous to know” women, also from Proverbs, “Bad . . . or maybe not” women from Genesis and 2 Samuel, the Song of Songs and the Book of Ruth, and all of the Marys in the New Testament.

All are invited to the classes, which will begin about 11 a.m., following the 9:30 a.m. service and coffee hour. Classes will end by noon.

St. Giles Jefferson is at 72 Gardiner Road (Route 126), about one-quarter mile west of the intersection of Route 126 and Route 213 (Bunker Hill Road). For more information, call 549-3158.
