WATERVILLE — Oceanside scored a pair of goals in the final nine minutes of regulation to secure a 2-2 tie with Waterville in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls soccer game.

Anika Ellis scored to give Waterville (6-1-2) a 1-0 lead at the break, and Sophie Webb scored off an assist from Fotini Shanos midway through the second half to double the Purple Panthers’ advantage.

The lead would not last, though, as Hope Butler struck twice for unbeaten Oceanside (8-0-1) in the final nine minutes to tie the game.

HAMPDEN 5, LAWRENCE 1: The Broncos struck four times in the first half on their way to a KVAC A win.

Abby Lord paced Hampden with two goals. Kiana Letourneau had the lone score for Lawrence (2-9) off an assist from Asia Sweet.

MOUNT VIEW 2, BELFAST 1: Ryleigh Lord scored the game-winner on a direct kick from 20 yards out in the 60th minute as Mount View won the KVAC B game.

Kate Arthers scored the other goal for the Mustangs. Jenni Nadeau made two saves in goal. Lydia Violette notched the lone goal for the Lions, while Shera Hilt made six stops in net.

MT. BLUE 6, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Abby Wallace scored a pair of goals to send Mt. Blue to a shutout KVAC A win.

Adelle Foss, Hannah Minns, Leah St. Laurent and Rebecca Harmon also found the back fo the net for the Cougars, while Samantha Ellis had three assists. Karly Stubbs made 25 saves for the Red Eddies.

FIELD HOCKEY

WATERVILLE 7, LINCOLN 0: The Purple Panthers exploded for six goals in the second half to deal the Lions a KVAC B loss in Waterville.

Shelby Place led the way for Waterville (2-7-1) with three goals and anassist, while Sarah Joler had a pair of goals. Julianna Vanegas and Maddie Foster also scored in the win.

Zoey Sewall finished with seven saves for Lincoln (0-11).

WINSLOW 1, MOUNT VIEW 0: The Black Raiders scored with 8:50 remaining in the first half and held on from there to deal the Mustangs a KVAC B loss in Winslow.

Winslow (7-2-1) scored off a corner when Natalie Greene swung a pass on the outside to Ciera Poulin, who in turn found Cassidy Rickard for the game-winner. Delaney Wood finished with 13 saves in the win, including one on a penalty stroke.

Alex Bowman paced Mount View (7-4) with 10 saves in goal.

SKOWHEGAN 4, MT. ARARAT 0: Brooke Michonski poured in three goals as the Indians blanked the Eagles in Topsham.

Maliea Kelso finished with a goal and an assist for Skowhegan (10-1), while Cassidy Clement, Lizzie York and Haley Thebarge each chipped in with assists.

Haley Frizzle made nine saves in goal for Mt. Ararat (3-7-1).

LAWRENCE 5, CAMDEN HILLS 2: Lauren Watson had a hat trick to spark the Bulldogs to the KVAC B win in Rockport.

Domi Lewis and Alexis Chamberlain had the other goals. Lilla Tilton-Flood added an assist for Lawrence (9-2) while Emily Tozier stopped seven shots in the cage.

Willow Grinnell and Emily Daggett scored for Camden Hills (6-4). Caroline Keefe made five saves.

BOYS SOCCER

MOUNT VIEW 6, BELFAST 2: Mikey Hustus scored four goals to lead Mount View to a KVAC B win over Belfast.

Matt Overlock and Brandon Reynolds also scored for the Mustangs, while Seth Davis made four saves. Phil Wichita and Skylar Perkins scored for the Lions.

WATERVILLE 1, OCEANSIDE 0: Bridger Holly scored with 26:31 left in the first half to lead Waterville to the shutout victory over Oceanside.

Jackson Aldrich made five saves in net for the Purple Panthers (7-2-1). Colby Dorr stopped 12 shots for the Mariners (8-1-1).
