Maine artists are invited to enter their “personal best” for inclusion in Art in ME, Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s juried fine-art exhibit that runs from Oct. 17 to Nov. 9.

Art in ME is a statewide, “state-of-the-art” exhibit whose mission is to showcase contemporary artists of Maine who are expressing creativity in both subjective and objective views. All fine art mediums are included. Two dimensional pieces must be no more than 4.5 ft in any direction. Sculpture must be 50 pounds maximum and no larger than 3 feet in any direction.

Entry dates are from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, or 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 14, at BRAF’s Gallery at 1 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor. The gallery also will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Columbus Day, Oct. 12, for those who need an alternative date. For more information, call 633-2703.

This year’s judge is the well-known reporter of Maine’s art and cultural scene, Bob Keyes, of the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram.

Prizes include $500 for Best in Show & People’s Choice; also awarded will be Second Place, Third Place and two Honorable Mentions of lesser amounts. The reception and awards presentation will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.
