PORTLAND – It’s only mid-October but the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northern Maine.
The forecast on Saturday calls for an inch of snow in the valleys and 2 to 4 inches in the higher terrain.
The winter weather advisory is for northern Piscataquis, northern Somerset and northern Aroostook counties and ends at 6 p.m.
