A California woman is facing a felony drug trafficking charge after allegedly receiving two pounds of marijuana in the mail while visiting relatives in Kennebunkport.

Rachel Lindsey, 38, of Felton, California, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, a Class C felony. Kennbunkport police say Lindsey was staying with relatives at 22 Wildes District Road when she took delivery of the marijuana through the U.S. Postal Service.

The investigation began on the west coast and included assistance from the postal service and the Wells Police Department.

Lindsey was released on $1,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court on Dec. 11.
