Maine-ly Harmony, a women’s a cappella barbershop chorus, based at Togus VA in Augusta, returned Nov. 8 from Verona, New York, after competing against choruses from the U.S. and Canada. The competition was tough, but they held their own, garnishing solid B scores, a good base to propel them to their competition next May.

The chorus will celebrate with a Guest Night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Togus, VA, Route 17, Building 205, room 112. All women are invited to join the singers in song to kick off the holiday season, or participate as audience members. Refreshments and fellowship will follow.

The group plans to perform at the Maine Harvest Festival, Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Brunswick Church of the Nazarene, Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Green Ladle restaurant in Auburn, Wednesday, Dec. 16, and “A Joyful Sound,” the annual Christmas show, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Kennebec Community Church on South Belfast Avenue.
