WEST GARDINER — Olivia Turner, of West Gardiner, daughter of Lucas and Nicole Turner, has been selected to participate in the Miss Maine (Teen) USA 2016 Pageant. The pageant will take place Nov. 28-29 at the Portland Marriott Hotel. Each delegate will be judged in swimsuit, evening gown and personal interview.

The winner will represent the state of Maine at the Miss (Teen) USA Pageant in 2016. Among the many state prizes will be cash, wardrobe, interviews with top talent and modeling agencies, jewelery, evening gown to be worn at the national pageant and more. The most exciting of all is an expense paid trip to the National Miss (Teen) USA Pageant, where the winner will compete for the prestigious title of Miss (Teen) USA and an extraordinary prize package.

Turner is a student at Gardiner Area High School. She is sponsored by Rocky’s Stove Shoppe, her grandparents and family friends. The preliminary competition is set for Nov. 28, with the final competition Nov. 29.
