HALLOWELL — Central Maine Clay Artists, a non-profit group of award-winning clay artists, will host its 10th annual Holiday Pottery Shop at 100 Water St. beginning Friday, Nov. 20.

Taking advantage of a grant offered through the Maine Arts Commission and Artists in Maine Communities through The Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts in the fall of 2005, CMCA was charged with helping to educate the public regarding ceramic art. Hosting events such as the annual Mug Season and The Holiday Pottery Shop, CMCA haa helped to educate, as well as give back to the local arts community, by supporting ceramic art programs at area schools and raising public awareness of local ceramic artisans.

The work of at least 13 clay artisans including: Loken Pottery, The Potter’s House, Maple Lane Pottery, A Lakeside Studio Pottery, Mudgirl Pottery, Hallowell Clayworks, Fine Mess Pottery, Whitefield Pottery, Alleycat Studio, Ditch Lilly Pottery, Raw Earth Designs and Casey Whittier will be on display and available for purchase at the Holiday Pottery Shop.

Hours are 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Nov. 20-22 and Nov. 27 through Dec. 23; and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 24.
