“Then Jesus Came” will be presented by the church choir and drama team at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, and at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, Marston Road, Waterville.

Winters in the small town of Forest Grove were bitterly cold …but inside the one lone church, it was below zero all year long … “Then Jesus came.”

Grandpa Billy was used to running the church affairs just the way he wanted, but along came a young “whippersnapper” of a preacher fresh out of Bible school with “new-fangled ideas” and big plans. Would the congregation accept this new talk about being “born again” and make some long overdo changes or side with Grandpa Billy and boot this guy out of town?

Come enjoy an evening or morning of laughter and tears as the church celebrates Jesus and the difference He can make in a life, in a church, and in a community.

The public is invited. Nursery facilities are available, and refreshments will be served after the Dec. 5 performance.
