MONMOUTH — Theater at Monmouth will hold its annual summer company auditions in Maine from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, in Cumston Hall, 796 Main St.

The Theater also will hold auditions for non-AEA performers Friday, Jan. 8, in New York.

Resumes must demonstrate experience in Shakespeare and Children’s Theatre, according to a news release from the theater.

The 2016 Summer Season includes “Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost,” directed by Dawn McAndrews, “Henry V,” directed by Joseph Discher; “Beaumarchais’ Barber of Seville,” directed by Matthew Arbour; Tony Kushner’s adaptation of “Pierre Corneille’s The Illusion,” directed by Davis Robinson, Jo Roet’s adaptation of Edmond Rostand’s “Cyrano,” directed by Tess Van Horn, and “The Master Cat” or “Puss in Boots,” directed by Stacey Koloski.

Each actor in the summer company plays three or four roles; all shows are rehearsed and performed in repertory.

The summer season, which runs from June 7 through Aug. 21, operates on an LOA to LORT contract with Actors’ Equity and union rules will be followed for Equity and non-Equity actors, according to the release. Internships are also available.

TAM’s summer season is a true ensemble of more than 50 theatre artists from all over the country. They rehearse and perform in repertory in Cumston Hall, a 250-seat Victorian opera house; rehearsals take place in our newly renovated Grange Hall. A complete performance schedule is available online attheateratmonmouth.org.

The theater seeks theatre professionals who would like to join a strong ensemble company and are interested in teamwork, collaboration and artistic growth in a creatively charged environment.
