A benefit spaghetti dinner and silent auction are being held for Arianna Bragg, the daughter of Amy Bragg and Mike Muzerolle, who were killed in a quadruple murder-suicide Nov. 4.

The benefit is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Messalonskee High School in Oakland.

Organizers of the event are hoping area businesses will donate items for a silent auction to be held during the dinner.

Arianna, 3, is living with her grandmother and her aunt Narissa Seamans, said Kristin Collier, of Rome, the organizer of the benefit.

Collier said she doesn’t know the family but has been in touch with them about the event and “has their blessing.”

“I have a young daughter, and hearing about a young girl losing both of her parents just broke my heart,” Collier said. “Sometimes something happens and you just feel compelled to move, so that’s what I’m doing.

“Anybody that wants to donate something, whether it be goods from a business or a gift certificate, it will be added to the collection for the auction,” she said Friday. “The more we can collect for this family, the more we can show them the Messalonskee system can rally around them and show them support in such a time of grief.”

Bragg, Muzerolle and Bragg’s sister, Amy DeRosby, were killed Nov. 4 at their home at 41 Belgrade Road in Oakland by Herman DeRico, who then shot himself outside the house. Arianna was found unharmed in Bragg and Muzerolle’s first-floor apartment by police who first arrived at the scene. The bodies of DeRico’s victims also were found in the apartment.

Collier said she needs donations for the event and anyone interested in helping can contact her either through Facebook or by calling 446-2029.

Danielle Jones, owner of The Muddy Paw on Cushman Road in Winslow, who is donating to the auction, said Friday that donations also can be dropped off at her business.
