BOSTON — A bar near Fenway Park is facing possible sanctions after being cited by Boston police following a shooting that killed a man and injured three other people.

The Boston Globe reports that police issued the citation to the Who’s on First club on the grounds that the shooting early Thursday morning created an “unsafe environment.”

Police say Jephthe Chery was killed and three others wounded. Chery was a commuter rail conductor for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and would have turned 30 Friday. Police said he was an innocent bystander.

No arrests have been made.

The city Licensing Board will review the incident.

Police also cited the bar in September after two women were shot nearby, but the Licensing Board found no connection between the shooting and the bar.
