Sidney Girl Troop 1785 from Sidney recently delivered a large donation of toilet paper to the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter.
The girls, ages 11 and 12, planned a drive and bake sale, which they ran at the Waterville Shaw’s recently, with a goal of collecting 1,000 rolls of toilet paper. They were able to collect 725 rolls that day, and they were able to take their monetary donations and bake sale earnings to purchase more than 500 more rolls. Sam’s Club in Augusta donated an additional two cases bringing the grand total to more than 1,300
