Wreaths will be placed at cemeteries in Gardiner and South Gardiner on Saturday as part of the Wreaths Across America program, through which remembrance wreaths will be placed on the headstones of military veterans.
In South Gardiner, wreaths will be placed at Mount Hope and Cannard cemeteries. In Gardiner, they will be placed at Old St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, New St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Plaisted Cemetery, Libby Hill Cemetery, Christ Church Cemetery and Oak Grove Cemetery.
Volunteers will begin placing wreaths starting at noon at Oak Grove Cemetery, organizers said.
