Capital Area Technical Center recently announced its November Students of the Month according to a news release from the center.

Morgan Metcalf, a Cony High School senior, is enrolled in the Graphic Design and Printing Technology program. Last year, Metcalf moved to Maine from Texas. She was so excited to learn about CAT. She enjoys being able to work towards something she wants to do for a career. “Morgan is always willing to help out other students. She puts a lot of effort into her projects. She is a great critical thinker and problem solver,” instructor Jessica Douin said in the release.

Cody Beaudoin, an Erskine Academy senior, is enrolled in the Machine Tool Technology and Welding Fabrication program. As part of the program, he is apprenticing at Specialty Products Co., in Whitefield.

“Cody has the attributes to be a great machinist. He takes pride in his work, wants to learn new things and is willing to tackle any job,” program instructor Darryl Nadeau said in the release. When Beaudoin is not in school, he can be found on the basketball court or on the baseball field. He plans to attend Kennebec Valley Community College in the fall.
